Printmaking Facilities

The UGA Cortona program has a long and accomplished history of fine arts printmaking, and therefore features fully-equipped studio facilities for producing prints using intaglio and relief techniques.

Located in the Severini School, the Printmaking Studio features a Takach printing press with a new 33 in. by 60 in. press bed, installed in November, 2017. Inks, hot plate, rollers, and other inking tools are located in the main studio area, along with paper cabinets, tool storage cabinets, flat-drying system, and work tables. A separate room contains a ventilated acid box with two acid trays for intaglio etching, a utility sink, and work area for cleaning plates with solvents.
