Viticulture and Enology

This course is taught on the UGA Cortona Viticulture and Enology Maymester Program. 

PATH/HORT/FDST 3050 — Viticulture and Enology in the Mediterranean Region (4 credit hours)
Prerequisites: HORT 2000 or (BIOL 1103 and BIOL 1103L) or BIOL 1107-1107L or PBIO 1210 or equivalent.
The format will consist of a combination of lectures, horticulture and sensory labs, as well as field trips to vineyards and wineries.

Preferably students who have completed 2 years at UGA or another accredited institution. This course is targeted for undergraduate students with primary interests in the areas of horticulture, food science, and/or history/anthropology. However, any undergraduate student with an interest in viticulture or enology can enjoy this course. The course is not major specific. Enrollment will be limited to 30.
