UGA Cortona’s programs in Italy are temporarily suspended due to the worldwide Coronavirus pandemic.
Currently, we expect to resume activity in Summer 2021. We are also accepting applications now for the Fall 2021, Spring 2022, Maymester 2022, Junemester 2022, and Summer 2022 programs - see the Programs page for application deadlines.
In the case of further program cancellations, accepted students will have the opportunity to defer their study-abroad experience to a future semester, in most cases without having to re-apply.
If you have any questions about our programs, the application process, the adaptations we've made in response to the Coronavirus, or if you would like to arrange for an advising appointment, simply e-mail us at cortona@uga.edu or call 706.542.7120; our staff is working remotely but will respond promptly to all messages. Our virtual office hours are Wednesdays from 10:00 am - 11:00 am EST and Thursdays 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST. During these times you can click here to start a Zoom Meeting and talk one-on-one with one of our knowledgeable staff members. Virtual office hours will resume on January 6, 2021.

This year, the Cortona Reunion Exhibition at the Lamar Dodd School of Art in Athens, Georgia is substantially smaller than usual, but it tells a powerful story: that of an international experience cut short by emergency evacuation, and the adaptability and resilience of our Spring 2020 students and instructors who continued classes remotely to finish up the semester with our first ever Virtual Mostra. Now, the very first works these students made in Cortona have been brought together with their final artworks of the semester in one exhibition, on view in the Margie E. West Gallery at the Lamar Dodd School of Art through January 23, 2021.
